Mr. Padre is well regarded as one of the best hitters of his generation. He led the league in hitting EIGHT times in his career and won SEVEN Silver Slugger awards. He hit over .300 in 19 of his 20 seasons, the lone season coming his rookie year when he played only 54 games. He also hit over .350 SEVEN times! He’ll go down as one of the best do ever do it at the plate.
