Heavy rains and flooding trapped many cars and trucks along I-94 East and Westbound near Trumbull in Detroit. The rains also caused flooding in many Detroit and Grosse Pointe homes with some having up to 3 feet of water in their basements. Driving up and down some of the neighborhoods, people were throwing away water-damaged items from carpet to TV’s, computers to furniture. A pickup driver also took his chances in the deep water on I-94 Westbound near Trumbull in Detroit on Saturday morning, June 26, 2021.
