DAYTON, OH – The West Michigan Whitecaps ballgame for Friday night against the Dayton Dragons has been postponed due to wet grounds at Day Air Ballpark.

Scattered thunderstorm showers in the Dayton area came down throughout Friday afternoon. Despite the infield being considered safe for play, the outfield conditions led to the decision to postpone a Whitecaps game for the sixth time this season and the second time during this series.

Friday’s game will be made up in a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 4:05 pm. Friday is scheduled to be the sixth doubleheader for West Michigan this season, a scenario that holds a Whitecaps record of 4-6 this season. It will mark the third time the Dragons and ‘Caps have played two games on the same day this season. Both contests will last seven innings, and the nightcap will start no earlier than 7:09 pm.
