Harrisburg took the lead in the home half of the second against Erie starter Brant Hurter. Yasel Antuna walked with two outs and Andrew Young homered to straight away center.
The SeaWolves regained the lead in the top of the fourth. Quincy Nieporte led off with a walk and was doubled home by Myers, tying the game at 2-2. Dillon Dingler singled home Myers and Gage Workman doubled home Dingler for a 4-2 Erie lead.
Harrisburg loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth on a Trey Harris single and back-to-back walks by Israel Pineda Antuna. Young singled home Harris and Pineda, tying the game. Omar Meregildo singled home Antuna for a 5-4 Senators lead. Following the Meregildo knock, Hurter left the game with the athletic trainer and Billy Lescher was summoned from the bullpen. Lescher got the next two batters before giving up an RBI single to Robert Hassell for a 6-4 Senators lead. Wilson Garcia capped a seven-run inning with a three-run home run to the opposite field. It was his 17th home run of the season.
Erie got one back in the top of the ninth inning when Dingler homered for the second time in as many games. The solo blast was his 14th of the season and brought the SeaWolves to within four runs but they could not get any closer.
Cate (1-3) earned the win for Harrisburg allowing four runs on five hits with three walks and seven strikeouts in six innings.
Hurter (0-1) took the loss allowing seven runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts in three-plus innings of work.
