INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Toledo Mud Hens defeated the Indianapolis Indians 8-7 on Saturday night in Indianapolis.

Daz Cameron and Corey Joyce led the way for the Mud Hens, each clobbering a home run, and three hits and two RBI in total, while also each scoring twice. Dustin Garneau picked up two hits for the Mud Hens. Brendon Davis picked up a double and two RBI. Zack Short tallied a hit and an RBI. Josh Lester tallied an RBI on a sacrifice fly. Andre Lipcius and Jamie Westbrook both picked up one hit.

Elvin Rodriguez got the start for the Mud Hens, pitching 4.0 innings, allowing three runs on four hits, one home run, two walks and one strikeout. Nick Kuzia would be the next man to pitch, pitching 0.2 inning, allowing one unearned run and striking out two. Sam Howard would pick up his 9th hold of the year, pitching 0.1 inning, walking two and striking out one batter. Shea Spitzbarth would grab his 3rd hold, pitching 0.2 inning, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks. Angel De Jesus grabbed his 4th win and his 3rd blown save, pitching 1.1 innings, walking one and striking out one batter. Drew Carlton notched his 9th hold, pitching 1.0 inning, giving up one hit and striking out one. Miguel Diaz grabbed his 5th save, surrendering one run on one hit, being a home run and striking out three across his 1.0 inning of work.
