Spring training is just a few days old and Detroit Tigers fans already have things to look forward to.
On Thursday, the club announced that starting at 10 a.m. Friday, single-game tickets will go on sale at tigers.com.

With the new MLB scheduling format, each team will play each other at least once during the season. Meaning, in addition to the home slate vs. the American League and AL Central Division opponents, the Tigers will also host some of the NL’s best including the New York Mets — featuring former Tigers aces Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer — on May 2-4, and the 2021 World Series champion Atlanta Braves on June 12-14.
In addition to single game tickets going on sale, new start times have been installed for weeknight homes games. First pitch will now be schedule for 6:40 p.m.
“We’re constantly listening to feedback from fans and stakeholders and our staff has been hard at work this off-season enhancing the fan experience and addressing topics we hear about,” Chris McGowan, president and CEO of Ilitch Sports + Entertainment said in a statement. “Ranging from increasing the quantity of giveaway items to moving up the start time for weeknight games. In addition, it’s going to be an emotional celebration of Miguel Cabrera’s final season as a player, which has led to strong demand for Tigers tickets during our on-sale windows so far this winter.”
When fans come to Comerica Park for the season opener vs. the Boston Red Sox on April 6, they’ll see new LED lights and the centerfield fence moved in 10 feet.
