Series Preview: Detroit Tigers host Baltimore Orioles for 3-game weekend set

Bless You Boys

Today’s preview is a late one so I will make it snappy.

The Detroit Tigers took two of three from the Colorado Rockies at home this week but the clock is ticking on the 2024 campaign as they continue to vie for that final wild card spot. Unfortunately, the next opponent will not be as easy as some of the previous ones.

The Baltimore Orioles, who admittedly have had a sluggish second half, arrive at Comerica Park on Friday night two games out of first place in the American League East behind the New York Yankees but have only gone an even 5-5 over their last 10 games. The O’s do hold the overall edge in the WC hunt with a 4.5-game lead in the standings for the final playoff spots.

The Tigers are back to featuring the ol’ TBD this weekend with two of the three starters still to be decided. Take a look below at the rest of the details for the next three days.
