FanPost Friday: Your bold predictions for the second half

Bless You Boys

The All-Star Game has come and gone, and while it didn’t go perfectly for the Tigers (at least Soto had that incredible silver glove), it was still a lot of fun and a victory for the AL team. We’ve had a few days with no baseball games, and now we’re back to regularly scheduled programming and entering the bottom half of the 2021 season.

The Tigers have had an intriguing first half, with the team making an utterly dismal start and angling for a potential worst-ever season, then turning things around and actually playing some fun, competitive baseball. Currently, they’re in third place in the AL Central and with Cleveland struggling, it seems like a surging Tigers team could go as high as second, and it’ll all come down to what they do in the latter part of the year.

Will they trade off good players for more prospects? Will they finally cut some of the dead weight in the bullpen? Will Miguel Cabrera go on a wild streak and break some hitting records? Will Akil Baddoo garner some Rookie of the Year attention? The whole goal of today’s FanPost prompt is to come up with anything weird, wonderful, impossible, improbable and make your boldest guesses for what will happen in the second half of the year.

Head over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and give us your most wild and sensational predictions.
