The Tigers are riding high off their first series win of the season and some unexpectedly delightful performances from their staff. As they invite another division rival club, the Minnesota Twins, into town, we wanted to know what to expect from the Twins. TJ Gorsegner, site manager of the SB Nation Twins blog Twinkie Town,

From the beginning of the 2019 season, it took until the summer of 2020 for the Detroit Tigers to notch two wins against the Cleveland Baseball Team. This year, it took an entire two days. Detroit had a prime opportunity to make that three wins in three days, but the Tigers blew a 3-1 lead

Fifty-six prospects made Major League Opening Day rosters this season. Seventeen of those were Top 100 talents. Some will arrive in The Show early.
The best part about a moment like this is sharing it, and Akil Baddoo would be the first to tell you so. But that’s also another way in which fortune smiled on the Tigers’ rookie on a sun-splashed Easter Sunday at Comerica Park, where he made a smashing major-league debut against the Cleveland Indians. This is a baseball story, the best kind. A story where family and faith and something so improbable — something so cool and heartwarming— comes together in a moment that is simply magical. In his first MLB at-bat, facing his first pitch, on his first swing in a Tigers uniform, Akil Baddoo hit a home run over

Detroit – Tigers manager AJ Hinch could certainly empathize with what Brewers manager Craig Counsell and Twins manager Rocco Baldelli were going though Saturday night. Their starting pitchers – Twins Jose Berrios and Brewers Corbin Burnes – were both throwing no-hitters through six innings. And both, coming off the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, were over 80
When Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal walked off the mound Sunday, one out into the sixth inning, the fans at Comerica Park gave him a standing ovation. It was the first such honor in Skubal’s MLB career — spectators weren’t allowed last year due to COVID-19 concerns — especially in his home ballpark. “There’s some
